My card today is NOT an Easter card! I used the Pretty Poppies Wafer Dies from the SSS Rain or Shine release. Here is an image:
Here is my card:
I die-cut a few sets of the Pretty Poppies Wafer Dies using white cardstock. I then inked them with Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I used Butter on the top of each petal and then Trio 5 for the rest of the flowers. I used Trio 8 for the stems darkening them as I moved to the top of each. I used some Copic Markers to add a little more shading. I assembled the flowers by gluing all of the pieces together.
I wanted to use an embossing folder for the background that added some texture and this Basket Weave Embossing Folder worked perfect! I rubbed some Melon and Cheeky PSInk in the center of it and glued it to a white card base. I glued my flowers to the top and then glued the stems coming out of each overlapping some. I die-cut sentiments using the Thank You Reverse and Regular (white) EZ Strip Sentiments and EZ Strip Dies. I am so in love with this Simon invention - so smart and works so easily to add sentiments to cards! And you can foil them!!!
That's it for today! I love these Pretty Poppies Wafer Dies from the Rain and Shine release! Poppies are my state flowers, but I should have made them more orange rather than yellow and pinkish orange! Thanks for visiting today! suzy
