Today is the release of the Simon Says Stamp May 2025 Card Kit called Beautiful and Curious! Here is an image of the kit with all of the contents included:
The card kit comes with the Beautiful and Curious stamp set. You can buy a set of matching dies for the set HERE or if you didn't get the kit, but love the stamp, you can buy the stamp and die bundle HERE. There is also a free gift for subscribers only called the Dotted Diamond embossing folder (which I used on one of my two cards). Here are my cards:
I used the free gift for subscribers - the Dotted Diamond embossing folder for the background of this card. I embossed it using Aches cold press watercolor paper. I turned it over and used the non-embossed side. I ran three of my Tim Holtz crayons over it in stripes and used my finger to smear the color. I then went over them lightly with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen which wet them slightly and also gave them a beautiful shimmer! I attached this to t cream card base.
I die-cut a circle with the same Arches paper so it would match. I then die-cut a smaller circle frame using the new SSS Bubblegum Glitter paper. I layered them on the top of the card. I stamped a butterfly from the Beautiful and Curious! stamp set with Latte PSInk and colored it to match the background with colored pencils. I used the Shimmer Pen over the wings as well and attached it (only glued the body down) to the middle of the circles. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with Mist PSInk and fussy cut it out since I didn't have the dies. I attached that to the bottom of the card and added 3 pink confetti sequins from the Pastel Ice Embellishment Mix around the sentiment.
I made my card base with the Steel cardstock in the card kit. I used a rectangle die to cut a piece of the patterned paper in the kit that matched it perfectly. I attached that to the card base with a piece of foam behind it. I then die-cut a piece of the Ice Vellum that came with the kit with a smaller rectangle. I stamped the flower from the stamp set in the center of this and colored it with colored pencils. Because it is vellum, I used Prismacolor pencils as they are waxy and would not tear the thin vellum.
I attached the vellum piece over the background patterned paper and it is so pretty how it shows through it. I hated to cover any of this beautiful paper! I stamped a sentiment from teh stamp set on a small sentiment banner using Versafine Ink and attached that to the bottom of the stems. I added four sparkling clear confetti sequins in each corner of the vellum so I could glue it down underneath them. I just love the monochrome colors of this card.
Besides the Beautiful and Curious! stamp set that is in the kit, there are also a couple other stamps that have been released that would work well with this kit - add on options for you! There is the Fly Today set and the Monogram set (all letters - so cool!). If you want to purchase the kit as a non-subscriber, you can buy it at this link HERE. Thanks for visiting today! Suzy
