I'm back with another Easter card when I promised I would take a break from them! I found a stamp set in my stash that I had never used and I was low on time today, so I decided to try it out. And let me tell you - flat stamps make quick cards! I used the Layered Tulips stamp set from a couple years ago. Here is the image:
Here is my card - one layer and a quickie!
I started with a piece of 5.5x4.25" white cardstock. I then stamped all of the images from the Layered Tulips stamp set using the Trio 2 and Trio 12 of Pawsitively Saturated Inks. For the lighter areas that were stamped first, I used two colors. I stamped with the lightest and then added some of the middle color to just the bottom edges. Then I did the shadows (second stamps) with the darkest color in each trio. I stamped them about an inch from the bottom of the card.
I stamped a sentiment using the Happy Eggs stamp set on the bottom of the card using Peony Ink - the middle color. I cut this piece down by .25" on both sides and attached foam to the back of it. I then tied a ribbon around the bottom of the tulips over the sentiment. I glued this entire piece to a fuchsia card base. I glued a few small sparkling clear sequins above the flowers.
Another day, another Easter card. I won't make any promises this time to move on to something else haha. Have a great weekend friends! And don't forget to pull out your older sets like this Layered Tulips stamp set and mix them with newer sets to update them! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
