I made such a quick card today yayayay! And if you knew me well, you would know that most cards I made take me half the day! But this card uses stamps and inks with NO COLORING!!! I am not a big St. Patrick's Day person, so I hadn't used the Sketched Clovers stamp set from the To Be Loved release yet. But then I decided they looked like flowers, so I pulled them out! Here is an image of the Sketched Clovers stamp and die bundle:
Do you see flowers or clovers?!!!!!
Here is my slimline card:
I pulled the stamp set out and tried the idea I had in my head - to stamp the four clover shapes in several different colors of ink overlapping each other a little. I used a piece of 3.5" x 8.5" white cardstock and Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Cadette, Tropic, Watermelon, and Zest.
I just love how these colors go together. I was going to introduce a couple more, but subdued myself to only use four! The PSInks are the best as I only had to stamp them one time and I have never re-inked my ink pads. I used the Rainbow Splash Gem Stickers in the middle of each. They matched perfectly! I stamped a sentiment in the stamp set with Watermelon ink and I fussy cut it out forgetting that I had the matching dies!!! Ugh my brain is just going away one step at a time! Well at least I'm a good fussy cutter and I am showing you a card that doesn't require the matching dies! I attached it with foam tape behind it and then added a few more of the small gem stickers between the "flowers".
And that my friends is me making a card in less than an hour! I think this idea would be good for a regular A2 sized card and done with spring colors or fall colors or any colors! I now am a fan of the Sketched Clovers stamp set from the To Be Loved release!!! Suzy
