Simon Says Stamp To Love and To Be Loved BLOG HOP Day 2: Pixie Dust Stamp and Die

Today is day two of the two day blog hop celebrating the SSS To Love and To Be Loved releases. I have a card to share with you using the Pixie Dust stamp and die bundle from the To Be Loved release. When I saw this set, I fell in love as it is so darling and whimsical! Here is an image of the bundle:

Here is my card using this bundle. Sorry that my photos don't have anything in the background. I was rushed the day I had to get them in the mail, so I photographed them without backgrounds planning on using Photoshop to add them over a previous card background I had made. But I couldn't find a background that looked good with this one so I left it white. Just out of curiosity - do you prefer busy backgrounds or plain backgrounds with card photos?

I started by stamping every stamp in the Pixie Dust stamp set with Versamark Ink. I then colored them all in with Copic Markers. I added some shading and texture with colored pencils (especially to the flowers). I die-cut them all out with the matching dies. I think I fit every single stamp on the card! But I had to make it big to fit it. The card is 5x7". 

I using foam applicators to apply ink to the background. I used Cabbage PSInk to the top and Fawn/Cozy to the bottom not bringing it out all the way to the edge. I then arranged all of the images over the background using foam tape behind the top of most so they stood out. I applied some Crystal Stickles over the fairy wings so they shimmer. I used some Nuvo Dream Drops around the background which look like little pearl drops. I stamped a sentiment with Versamark Ink and die-cut it out with the matching die. I glued that to the top of the card. I backed it with a rosy red card base.
