I have a Christmas card to share with you today using a few different products from all different recent releases. I used the Holly Bunch Embossing Folder and Cutting Die from the Stamptember release. I also used the Tall Poinsettia Die from the Festive Fun release. Here are images with links to those two products:
Here is my card:
I first embossed the Holly Bunch Embossing Folder using white cardstock. I then die-cut the included cutting die of one of the holly branches and embossed it as well. I colored both with Copic Markers and used colored pencils for shading and inside all of the embossed lines to add depth. It's a busy embossing folder, so I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it after it was colored! I used the new Shimmer Vellum and die-cut another one of the branches out of it and also embossed that. I die-cut the new Tall Poinsettia flower pieces from red glitter paper and shimmer vellum. I die-cut the Fanciful Joy Die from both Shimmer Vellum and red glitter paper as well.
I glued all of the flower pieces together just in the center so I could bend the petals up. I used one set of the red glitter (two flowers) and one set of the vellum. I used a gold gem in the center. I cut down my embossed background a little and then mounted it on a red cardstock card base. I then glued the vellum branch and the colored branch over the same branch on the embossed background just moving them slightly off of it so they looked layered. It was too busy trying to add them anywhere else, so I just layered them. I glued the layered poinsettia over the edge of those branches. I glued the vellum JOY to the bottom just under the letters and then glued the red glitter letters over the shimmer vellum letters. I stamped a "joy to the world" stamp with black ink using the Poinsettia Swag stamp and die set and cut off the word joy. I attached that to the right of the large joy. I added a couple more gold gems around the sentiment.
I think this Holly Bunch Embossing Folder and Cutting Die goes so well with the Tall Poinsettia Die and I can't use the Fanciful Joy Die enough this season! Thanks for visiting today. I'm almost out of time to make holiday cards! I haven't even mailed any yet and I just heard on the news tomorrow is the last day to get them to people on time, so I need to get on that instead of creating more cards! Suzy
