Today is the SSS Die-Cember release BLOG PARTY CELEBRATION!!! Start at the SSS Blog and hop along to lots of designers that will be sharing inspiration using products from the Die-Cember release. The project I'm sharing uses the new Stocking Gift Card Holder Die and the Peeking Snowman Tag Stamps and Dies. Here are images of both:
Here is my card/gift card holder/tag!
I started by die-cutting the new Stocking Gift Card Holder from the new Sage cardstock from the release and then used a foam applicator to apply some Sage PSInk to the edges. I then used the die-cut pieces to cut the toe and top of the stocking out of white velvet paper and white cardstock as I layered them so they wouldn't show the green underneath. I attached both to the stocking. I made a card base with a piece of patterned paper on the front that matching the sage cardstock and then glued the stocking to the front attaching only the sides and bottom with double sided tape. I die-cut the three leaves in the set with the same sage cardstock and used a Copic Marker to add detail over the veins in the leaves. I attached those to the top of the stocking using three Cherry Dazzing Gems in the center for the berries.
I stamped two of the tags in the Peeking Snowman Tag stamp set with Versafine black ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. I fussy cut them out as I didn't have the dies, but there is a set of Peeking Snowman Tag dies you can buy separately or you can buy them together as a bundle. I added the circle one to the front of the stocking. I attached a tag hole die (???) to the top and then stapled it in place. I used the red/white twine tied inside of it and then stuck it into the gift card holder. I could also insert a gift card into it or attach it to the inside of the card using the die that holds gift cards in place that comes with the stocking. I used the best new product in the release because it is simple brilliant for a sentiment - the EZ Strips Dies with the EZ Strips Joy Sentiments. These EZ Strip dies work directly over the sentiment strips in this release so you can cut them all out at one time! You can also use the EZ Strip dies for just cutting strips out to stamp other sentiments on, so they are a great purchase!
