My Christmas card today uses the Poinsettia Field embossing folder from the Sweet Wishes release and the Peaceful Trees stamp and die bundle from the STAMPtember release. Here is an image of the EF:
Of course when I saw this detailed embossing folder I wanted to color it. But I think it would look equally good and take a lot less time if you rubbed ink on the flowers on the backside and then rubbed a gold or black ink pad over it. There aren't many flat areas, so it would look really good this way. On the other hand, you can color it and spend 2-3 hours as I did (insert emoji head blowing up haha). Here is my card:
I embossed the Poinsettia Field embossing folder with white cardstock. I colored all of the flowers with pink and red Copic Markers (leave me a comment if y9ou want the numbers as I only memorize the colors and never the numbers which is NOT ok with Copic Pros!). Just for proof, I used Dark Red, Crimson Red, Lipstick Red, Carmine Red, Coral Red, Salmon Pink, Pale Pink, and Pinkish Vanilla. Off the top of my head haha. The one that is now blown up BTW. I added white lines to some of the petals with a white uniball. I colored the centers with a gold sharpie first and then I went over some of the bumps with a gold uniball as it is brighter and lighter.
I embossed a sentiment using the Peaceful Trees stamp and die bundle from the STAMPtember release and Antique Gold embossing powder. I die-cut them out with the matching dies and attached them to the bottom with foam tape. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment. I tied some gold twine around the top of the card wrapped three times into a bow. And bam, only 3-4 hours for one card!!! (does it count that I had fun and will never send it out as I will keep it forever to remember it?!!!). Actually it will go to my mother as she often reminds me that at 92 I will be getting all my cards back from her soon. So I send her all my favorites! hahaha ((((to make her happy of course)))....
I hope you enjoyed my Poinsettia Field Embossing Folder card today. I promise to color something OTHER than Poinsettia's from her forward! Have a great weekend friends! Suzy
