Today is the release of the final Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition kit for 2024! It is called the LE Christmas Botanicals Holiday Tag Kit. Here is an image of the kit:
There are several new SSS products in the kit that are also sold alone including the Christmas Botanicals 6x8" stamp set, the Holly Tag Die set, the Mistletoe and Berries Die set, the Winter Flurries Stencil Set, the Aiden Snowflake Die (was released previously) and the Winter's Sticky Gift Tags. You can also purchase a set of Christmas Botanicals dies to match the stamp set (they are NOT included in the kit) or buy the Christmas Botanicals stamp and die bundle.
Here are my projects using the kit:
I made this 4x4" card using the Winter Flurries stencil set. I started with a piece of the Crafter's Companion Winter Forest paper cut to be 4x4". I then applied SSS White Ink over the first stencil that has just dots on it. I then applied Tim Holtz Texture Paste over the second stencil with the snowflakes using a palette knife. I cut this piece down a little and mounted it on a 4x4" white card base. I die-cut the Aiden Snowflake Die three times - once from white cardstock and twice from the Silver Holographic Cardstock in the kit. I layered them turning each slightly in the middle of the card only gluing down the centers. I die-cut a small flower from the Holly Tag Die Set from white cardstock and glued that to the center of the snowflakes. I used Opal Dazzling Gems over the center of the large snowflake as well as all of the ones on the background. I tied some gold twine around the top as there is gold in the paper and the Opal Gems also look gold at certain angles. I stamped the "merry christmas" from the Christmas Botanicals stamp set with Versafine Ink and fussy cut it out. I attached that to the bottom center of the card.
I made these two tags using the Holly Tag Die Set and Mistletoe and Berries Die Set. I die-cut the tag out of the Holographic paper twice and out of white cardstock and blue glitter paper. I glued the blue glitter one over the white one backs to backs so both sides look good. I glued the two Holographic Paper ones so the shiny side was up on both sides. This made the tags thicker and made both sides pretty! I die-cut the flowers out of white cardstock and several colors of blue and pink glitter cardstock. I die-cut the Mistletoe and Berries die out of green and blue glitter paper and white cardstock. I then layered all of these die-cut items over the front of both tags glueing several of the mistletoe branches overlapping. I stamped the To and From stamps from the stamp set with Dusk PSInk and Versafine Ink and fussy cut them out. I glued them to the front of both tags. Last, I tied some of the Tim Holtz Silver Tinsel in the kit to the top of both tags.
I stamped all of the stamps in the Christmas Botanicals stamp set with different colors of PSInks (colors are all in the supply list at the bottom). I fussy cut them all out although you can purchase the matching dies! I die-cut a tag from white cardstock using the CZ Nested Tag Dies. I glued all of the stamped images to the front of the tag overlapping them as I went up to the top. I then used some of my leftover leaves from the tags I made above die-cut from glitter paper. I cut leaves off the branches and tucked them between the stamped images. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with Violet PSInk and fussy cut it out and attached it to teh bottom of the tag. I tied some dark blue ribbon to the top of the tag.
I used the same kind of colors that were in the papers and on the Christmas Botanicals stamp set to stick with the theme. But I really want to use this stamp set with traditional Christmas colors as well as they would be so pretty in reds/greens and golds! It is such a beautiful stamp set and you don't have to color! I love all of the SSS LE kits, but this Christmas Botanicals Holiday Tag Kit for 2024 is something special! I hope you enjoyed my creations using it! Suzy
