Today is the first day of a two day blog hop celebrating the SSS Festive Fun release! I have a card to share with you that uses soooo many of the products in this new release that I won't even show images like I usually do. I went a little crazy with all of the baking products as I love to make Christmas cookies! I will show you my card and then have all of the blog hop details at the end of this post. You might recognize it from the graphic above - find waldo haha!
I made the background of this card last as I wanted a down home (is that a phrase?!!!) look to it and I couldn't find a patterned paper I liked. I must have spent more time looking for paper than I did making the card! I finally settled on a piece of red glitter paper and attached it all and then I changed my mind. I pulled out my fabric collection and sewed this piece of red/white striped fabric to the front a white card. Presto - I loved it!
Next I die-cut all of the dies I used including the Cookie Sheet Dies, the Tea Time Dies, and the Holiday Baking Essentials Dies from white cardstock. I die-cut the cookie sheets out of silver matte cardstock. I inked the Gingerbread Boy cookies with the new Gingerbread Ink. I inked the cookie dough and the sugar cookies with the new Cookie Ink. Both are from Trio 29. I colored all of the red areas and the edges of the cookies with Copic Markers.
I added some Tonic Crystal Glaze over the area of the frosting tube that I also colored red. I added white dots to all the frosting with a white Uniball gel pen. I added little white dots to the gingerbread boys for eyes and buttons from the edges of the Gingerbread Man stitching dies. I added the drops of glue first and then used my pointy tool to pop them out right where I wanted them. I glued all of the items together and attached them to the top of my two baking sheets. I attached them to my fabric background. I stamped a sentiment from the Merry and Sweet stamp set using Gingerbread Ink again and die-cut it out with the matching dies. I attached that over the cookie dough. Last, I tied some of the new red and white twine to the top of the card. This twine is the BEST as it is super thick!
I posted this card yesterday using the Jolly Christmas stamp and die bundle. You can see the blog post with directions and supplies HERE. I also have 3 more cards to share over the next 3 days using Festive Fun goodies.

Love the cookie card! The fabric remains me of a Christmas tea towel we had growing up. Definitely gave it the 'down home' feel you were looking for.
