Today is the release of the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit called Warmest Wishes! It is full of holiday yumminess! Here is an image of it:
There are several new SSS products in the kit that are also sold separately. The 6x8" stamp set is also called Warmest Wishes! There is also an amazing Bundled Up embossing folder and cutting die (right above this and it is SOOOO cute!), I made one card with just this embossing folder. There is a set of SSS Snowflakes adhesive transfers, a set of Color Blend cardstock assortment, Detail Sparkle embossing folder, and Ink cubes in Pucker, Artichoke and Latte. If you don't have Latte, it is the perfect color for no-line stamping! There is also a set of Warmest Wishes dies that match the stamp set for purchase or you can buy the bundle with the stamp and dies if you aren't buying the kit.
Here are directions for my 3 cards:
I used one of the Color Blend Cardstock pieces for the background. I pulled out my dusty laminator and used the SSS Snowflake Adhesive Transfer sheets (there are 2 sheets in the set). You can use a laminator or just run it through a die-cut machine to transfer the glue. I then embossed them using the Detail Sparkle embossing powder in the kit. I thought about using white as I wasn't sure this embossing powder would show up enough, but it does! I flicked white acrylic paint all over the background.
I cut this piece down and attached it to a white card base. I used the Snowy Greetings Die (from 2021, but still available!) for the sentiment. I die-cut it from white cardstock and from another one of the Color Blend cardstock pieces that matched and glued the colored letters over the white. I used Dazzling Gems in Opal (white) and Clear around the background and in the center of the snowflakes. I attached the sentiment to the center of the card with foam tape behind it.
I stamped all of the stamps in the Warmest Wishes stamp set with several color of PSInk including: Surf, Rhubarb, Apple, and Limelicious. I used a brush marker tip for the red dots around the items. I used Versafine black ink for the heels on the ice skates and then embossed the blades with the embossing powder in the kit. The black ink was still wet so it embossed over the heels as well and I love how they look! I fussy cut out all of the items, but there is a set of dies available for purchase: Warmest Wishes Dies.
I made the background with some of the Luxury Velvet White cardstock in the kit. I glued or used foam tape behind all of the items arranged over the front of the card. I stamped two of the sentiments and attached them over the weather. I love how all of these cute little stamped designs look together and the colors are SO me - yummmmmmy!
This card is by far my favorite - in fact one of my favorite cards I've ever made! It doesn't show how cute the embossing folder is all colored once i added all of the other items over it. I should have just left it plain! I embossed the Bundled Up embossing folder with white cardstock. I didn't use the matching dies that come with it. I colored all of the items on it with Copic Markers. I added lots of details with a white Uniball gel pen. I attached it to a white card base.
I die-cut an A2 Thin Frame Die from white cardstock. I colored the frame with a Copic Marker to match the red in the background. I stamped two sentiments from the stamp set with Cranberry PSInk and then attached it to the bottom of the card. I used some of the Gina K 3mm Disco Ball sequins around the sentiment. I tied some of the new red/white twine around the side of the card. Maybe the twine was too much. Not sure I like it! But that embossing folder has my heart!!!
I hope you enjoyed my 3 cards using the SSS Warmest Wishes! Card Kit for December. I believe it is on preorder right now. If you only want to purchase the stamp set you can buy the Warmest Wishes Stamp and Die Bundle alone or the Bundled Up Embossing Folder and cutting dies alone. Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
Beautiful cards! I especially love the color palette in cards 2 and 3 - my favorites. On card 2, how did you stamp the heels and blades different colors than the skates without mixing all the colors? Thank you and have a great day!
