Well, folks, we are back to regularly scheduled programming which means about 4-5 blog posts a week using standard SSS products. I will be using primarily STAMPtember release products as it was a huge release and I've barely touched it with all of the collaborations I was working on all month! There is also another release coming soonish, so we have a lot going on lately! Today I made a slimline card using the You Matter Stamp and Die Bundle shown here:
I love this gorgeous floral set and was so excited to finally be able to use it! I used both the stamps and the dies, but they are available individually. You can purchase the You Matter stamp set here and the You Matter dies here. Here is my slimline card:
I had my usual issue where I like to use every single stamp in a stamp set! I stamped all of the stamps in the You Matter stamp set with Latte PSInk on white cardstock. I colored them in with Copics first and then used colored pencils for shading, but most of the coloring is done with Copics. The yellow flowers don't have any shading at all and just a little on the pink ones. I love coloring with no outlines as black outlines just bug me sometimes! And these flowers and vines were so dainty and I think the no-lines show them off better. I die-cut them all out with the matching dies which I am so happy I had this time as here is NO way my fussy cutting loving self would have been able to pull off this set. Plus there are dies for the two YOU stamps which is great!
I made the background with a rectangle die-cut from the SSS Nested Rectangle Dies and white cardstock. I rubbed four colors of PSInks on it randomly here and there with foam applicators. I used Sprout, Zest (softly), Blush and Guava. I stamped the sentiments with Blush and then Guava over them so they weren't too orange. I wanted them to be just the perfect coral color. I attached my rectangle to a piece of Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock - my favorite color ever as it is so perfect of the corals I always use. I arranged all of my stamped images on the background leaving a spot for the sentiments. I can't believe I fit them all! It might have looked better with a less is more approach, but that's just not my strength. I added the two sentiments with foam tape behind them. I used some Nuvo Drops around the open spots in the background.
I love this You Matter floral stamp set so much! I highly recommend getting the bundle as the dies are so useful on this one! I hope you all have a great weekend! Suzy
