Today there isn't a SSS STAMPtember collaboration with another company, rather SSS has a Limited Edition Warm Hearts Kit they have just released. AND I LOVE THIS KIT!!! It is so darn cute and fun! Mine got stuck in the mail somewhere and didn't arrive until yesterday at 3:00 pm and I was still able to make 3 cards with it. I could make so many more! It is jam packed. Here are some of the SSS products in the kit that have never been sold before, but you can get them on their own:
- Warm Hearts 6x8 Inch Clear Stamp Set
- Mitten Gift Card Holder Die Set
- Bundled Snowmen Embossing Folder
- Snowy Night Embellishment Pack
- Snowy Village set of 5 (2x3 inch) stencils
You can purchase the dies for the Warm Hearts stamp set HERE and the Snowmen Embossing Folder Dies HERE. I did use both of these add-ons to the kit in my projects today.
Here is an image of the kit:
Here are my projects:
I die-cut a rectangle using the SSS Slimline Rectangle Dies. I then cut another and cut off the bottom with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hills Die. I applied Morning and Sky ink to the first rectangle using the Detail Blending Brushes in the kit (new to SSS and great for ink blending!). I attached the hill over it with foam tape behind it. I stamped all of the images in the Warm Hearts stamp set with Intense Black Ink.
I colored all of the images with Copic Markers. I attached them to the background with foam tape behind the tops of them. I stamped some of the snowflakes with black ink and also die-cut some from the Mitten Gift Card Holder die set and attached those around the sky. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and attached that to the top left. I added some snow with white acrylic paint and the end of a paintbrush. I used a LOT of Frosted Lace Stickles around the snow, but it is hard to tell in the pictures.
I embossed the Bundled Snowman Embossing Folder with white cardstock. I applied several colors of PSInk to it using the new foam applicators. I die-cut the Bundled Snowman Dies that coordinate and there are arms in there too! I then embossed all of them at once in the embossing folder. I colored those with Copic Markers (quickly since I didn't have the kit for very long, so my coloring is a bit messy and not up to my standards haha).
I attached the snowmen to the embossing folder. I then colored some of the arms and attached them. I had enough die-cut and colored to give every snowman two arms, but it just seemed like too much. Oh dang, I just saw that I only added cheeks to a couple of them! Rushing! I used some Nuvo Pearl Drops for snow this time - they are so pretty and I totally forgot about them! Rushed or not, I love the colors in this card!
I made this card with the Mitten Gift Card Holder Die Set. I folded a piece of white cardstock and then aligned the mitten glove to the edge of it so the fold didn't cut through. That way it came out as TWO mittens instead of one that were attached at the fold. They were backwards so I had to fold them over to the other side. I die-cut a couple more of the mittens from the patterned papers in the kit and attached one to the outside. I colored the bottom of the glove with Copics and attached it over it. I stamped a set of the penquins/snowman and colored them with Copics. They are just so cute I can't handle it! I attached them to the front of the mitten. I stamped a sentiment and attached it as well. I tied some twine around the bottom of the mitten. I used some of the Snowy Night Embellishment Pack around the front of the mitten.
I attached another patterned paper over the inside of the mitten and used the long die that cuts gift card holder notches in it. I die-cut two more of the bottom of the mittens and attached them to both sides. I also die-cut a heart from a paper and attached that. I stamped the To and Wrong and then added my gift card. Now it is a gift card holder card!
Oh my goodness, I can't describe how much I love this Limited Edition Warm Hearts Kit! It is just so cute. I can't wait to make more with it! It has so many new exclusive products in it that I just adore! I hope you enjoyed my rushed projects with the kit.
