Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Lawn Fawn. It is called Christmas in the Desert and is sold in three ways. You can purchase just the stamp set HERE, the stamp and a set of matching dies HERE, or the stamp, dies and a matching stencil as a bundle HERE. Here is an image of the full bundle of stamp with dies and stencil (click on image to get to the store):
I didn't have the dies or stencil, so I made my card with just the stamp set and colored and fussy cut out the images (which I weirdly love to do).
There are so many small images in this stamp set and I of course want to use EVERY image in a stamp set, so I was determined to figure out how. That's when I remembered this Artwork Grid Plate die by SSS. I die-cut it from white cardstock twice. I then colored the background of each square with Copic markers (once i knew what stamps were going in each square so I knew what to color!). I glued the extra frame over the one I had colored for more dimension.
I stamped all of the images in the stamp set with Intense Black Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers (I stamped a few of them twice). I fussy cut them out - this is one set I highly recommend getting the set with matching dies as that was a lot of small cutting! I arranged them inside the grids leaving room for some sentiments, I stamped some of the smaller sentiments inside the grids with black ink. I then stamped a couple stamps to form the larger sentiment on a small white sentiment banner. I attached that to the top of the grid.
The funny thing is, that gold star was not suppose to be where it is. I initially had it on top of the cactus, but when I put the sentiment that, I removed it and just set it on the card to figure out if I could still use it somewhere. Then I forgot and photographed it and it was just on that spot. So yeah, that was a mistake, but I guess it works!
