Today's SSS STAMPtember collaboration is with Ink on 3 and the stamp set is calle Little Chickadee. It is sold alone or with a set of matching dies as shown here (click on the image to get to it in the SSS store):
I only had the Little Chickadee stamp set to make my card, so I fussy cut the images out. Here is my card:
I stamped all of the images in the Little Chickadee stamp set with Intense Black Ink. I colored them in with just colored pencils this time - no Copics! I like the texture I can get with pencils on flowers. I used primarily my Caran d'ache Luminance pencils and mixed some purples and some pinks on the petals. I love that little bird stamp! I don't know why I made him blue, but bright blue he is! I think Chickadees only come in yellow, but I'm not even sure! I fussy cut all of the images out which wasn't that hard to do. I did make doubles of both flowers and the leaves.
I die-cut the SSS Double Plaid Cover plate die from white cardstock. I tried it over quite a few backgrounds and settled for this one I had painted with Nuvo Shimmer Powders. I took a phone photo of it over this and over a white background and settled on this. Later, I showed my daughter both and she said the white looked better. So I just edited that phone photo which isn't very good and posted it below - would love to hear your opinion. Nothing is glued down on that one. Anyway, I glued the cover over the watercolored background. I then added the flowers and leaves and bird only glueing the centers so they aren't flat. I stamped the sentiment on a Honeybee sentiment banner and attached that in the open area. I added some SSS Moonshine confetti sequin mix around the background. Here is my image of the white background card::
Would love to hear which you prefer and keep in min my phone photo isn't the best shot and nothing is glued down, so it's not positioned very well.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed this card using the Ink on 3 collaboration stamp set with SSS called Little Chickadee which can be purchased as just a stamp set HERE or as a bundle with dies HERE.
