Today there are two different SSS STAMPtember collaboration companies: Altenew and Trinity. This is the Altenew blog post and you can see the Trinity Stamps blog post HERE. The Altenew stamp is called Azalea Bunch and is absolutely gorgeous as you would expect! In fact, this is my favorite card I have made with all of the collab sets this month! It is sold alone with just the stamp set or sold as a bundle with the stamp, dies, AND stencils! Here is an image of the bundle:
Here is my very one layer card! I didn't have the dies or the stencils, but I love to color, so I was ok with that!
I stamped the floral bundle in the stamp set on both corners of a piece of A2 sized Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper using Intense Black Ink. I then painted it with my Daniel Smith watercolors. I hadn't used them in so long and I wanted to get them out and try some "real" watercoloring! No embossed lines or markers to make it easier! I had so much fun painting them. You don't get the intense color that you get with Karin Brushmarkers, so I have to build the color up with multiple layers. I love how it turned out. i went really bright with the leaves! I used a black fine tip marker over the flower tendrils (although they should have been dark orange!).
I attached it to a cream card base. I stamped two sentiments from the stamp set in-between the flowers with Intense Black Ink. I added some Pink Fresh Pixie Dust Glitter Drops . I had just purchased this color as I think it is new and it matched my flowers so perfectly! The container of the glitter drops had two colored types in there. One was a bright pink with more of a silvery color and this one is more coral and yellow. Nice to get options in one package! I glued them around the sentiment up through the two floral groupings. See, totally one layer - not even an outline of cardstock!
You can purchase this Azalea Bunch Altenew stamp set alone HERE or as a bundle with a stencil and dies HERE. You can see all of the STAMPtember collaboration sets that are still available HERE. And last, you can see my blog post for the other collaboration company today which is Trinity Stamps HERE. Thanks for visiting! Suzy
