I made a card today that uses LOTS of products, but not any from the Cheering For You release this time! I used the Sunshine Stencil from the Sunny Vibes release because I love it and never had a chance to use it. I also used the CZ Bad Day, Good Vibes stamp and die bundle and the Rainbows and Butterflies stamp and die bundle from the Sunny Vibes release. It's a sunshiny day over here! Here is a photo of the Sunshine Stencil:
Here is my card:
I had this idea that I wanted to combine the Rainbows and Butterflies stamp set with the Sunshine stencil. I tried the rainbow up to the opening in the stencil and realized it fit perfectly if I just cut off the bottom of the stamp. I used a full piece of 6x6 cardstock. I then stamped the rainbow on the bottom center using 5 colors of PSInks in this order: Punch, Watermelon, Grapefruit, Citrine, and Lemonade. As I stamped each color, I wiped off the ink with a wipe and my finger so it was just on one row of butterflies. Next, I attached the first of the two Sunshine Stencils over the rainbow so it fit perfectly in the opening for the sun. I applied the two yellow inks with the first stencil using foam blending tools. I started with the lighter color close to the rainbow and then moved to the darker yellow as I moved towards the outsides. I applied the second sunshine stencil and used Grapefruit first, then Watermelon, and then Punch (sorry I used Cherry in the photo!). I cut this piece with a SSS Basic Rectangle Die in a full card size which left me with about 1.5" of my stenciled sunshine leftover.
I attached the sun stencil (small half circle) over the rainbow and applied Picket Fence Sparkle Paper Glitz over the sun rays. I used a foam applicator for that as well and kept it a thin coat. I die-cut two of the Billow Butterfly wafer dies from white cardstock. I then cut two of the butterfly with the outline around it from my leftover stenciled sunshine rays. I glued the butterflies together using two of the inked insides and one of the frames around the white ones. I stamped a sentiment using the CZ Bad Days, Good Vibes stamp set with a combo of Watermelon and Punch Ink and die-cut it out with the matching dies. I stamped the small sentiment from the Rainbows and Butterflies stamp set with black ink and die-cut it out with the matching dies. I attached the two sentiments to the top center of the card front with foam tape behind the large one. I then glued the three butterflies around it. I added sequins from the Summer Sunset and Garden Blooms Embellishment Mixes around the background. PS: I love those butterflies!
Two very bright cards in a row over here, so I guess I've been in a sunny mood. Or just too hot haha. I hope you enjoyed this card featuring the Sunshine Stencil and other products from the Sunny Vibes release. Happy weekend to be friends! Suzy
