I went back a release for my card today to a really fun stamp set from the Sunny Vibes release. It is called Summer Fruit Tiles and has a stamp set, a set of matching dies, and a stencil. Here is an image of the bundle:
Any of the components are also sold alone (links above to each). I only used the stamp set and one of the rectangle dies in the die set. Here is my card:
This is the perfect stamp set to use if you just want to do some fun Copic coloring! It has the block stamps in it or the stencils with blocks that allow you to add inked color for each cube instead of coloring though if you prefer. But I am all about the coloring! I stamped it with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I decided to use a bunch of bright colored Copics to color the objects in each cube and then I used lighter versions of the same colors for each background with the darkest shade on the bottom, blending up to the lightest shade at the top.
I used a white Uniball for lines on each and some details. That gave it just a little big of pop. I resisted the urge to add Nuvo drops all over it as it looks so good just as it is. Even my college aged daughters loved it and they never love my cards! I used a black sharpie and a ruler to thicken the lines around the outside edges. I cut it to have a little bit of white showing around the edge. This ended up with the card being about a 6.25" square. I made a white card base with an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock, so it is shorter than the card front. After I did that I realized I have a lot of 12"x12" cardstock left from scrapbooking and I could have made a card base that fit it, but this works! I die-cut the small sentiment rectangle from white cardstock and colored it with yellow Copics. I added black lines around the outside edges and then stamped a sentiment from the stamp set on it with black ink. I attached that over two of the squares. And bam, I was done! No embellishments - just LOTS of bright colors! I set it on my mantle in my bedroom as it makes me happy!
I hope you enjoyed this card made with the Summer Fruit Tiles stamp set from the Sunny Vibes release. Thanks so much for stopping by today and enjoy these last days of summer sunshine as they are almost done! xoxo suzy
