It's time for the release of the SSS September, 2024 card kit called Chunky thankful Greetings! It's starts with a 6x8" stamp set also called Chunky Thankful Greetings stamp set. There is also a Butterfly Burst embossing folder, a Rose-Winged Butterfly die in the kit. There is a set of Chunky Thankful Greetings dies to match the stamp set sold separately. Here is an image of the kit:
Here are the three cards I created with the kit:
My first card is my "random-stamping" technique I use all the time. Why do I never tire of this look?!!! I love creating backgrounds with stamps, especially with flat stamps in lots of pretty PSInk colors. I used blues, greens, purples, and pinks on this one. I stamped the Thankful Stamp with Lilac and Orchid PSI and then colored inside the letters with Copic Markers; I attached it to the center of the card front with foam tape behind it. I also stamped a few of the individual stamps in the same colors as those around the Thankful and die-cut them out with the matching dies. I popped them up with foam tape also so they stood out a bit.
I stamped the "for you" with Marine PSI and die-cut it out with the matching die and attached it to the right of the Thankful. I added some of the Northern Lights embellishment mix from the kit around the greeting. I attached the card front to a white card base.
This card is made with the beautiful Prima In Full Bloom patterned papers in the kit. I cut this piece that had orange on the top and green on the bottom into an A2 card size and attached it to a white card base. I then spritzed it with Tim Holtz Distress Spritz in Fossilized Amber which gave it a really golden look that is so pretty.
I stamped the "thankful" with green inks and then colored inside them with Copic Markers. I used a green colored pencil to outline the inside of the letters. I stamped a second sentiment on a small banner and a few more of the individual leaves and one flower and die-cut them out with the matching dies. I also spritzed all of these items with the same Fossilized Amber Spritz so they would have the same golden tones as the background. i attached them all to the front of the card. I added three gold pearls around the sentiment.
I do not know why, but this card was so hard to edit without the butterflies on the background going into a crazy pink color! I first embossed the Butterfly Burst embossing folder with white cardstock. I then colored the butterflies with two Copic Markers in bright pinks which wanted to photograph in even brighter pinks! I die-cut two of the Rose-Winged Butterfly die included in the kit from white cardstock. I colored one with Copic Markers in blues and the same pinks and then glued the frame of the second over it so my coloring mistakes were covered. I attached this so the top of the card with foam tape behind the body and the wings folded upward.
I used the Thin Frames rectangle die for the sentiment. I colored one frame in the same blue Copic color and the other in the same pink Copic color to match the butterfly. I stamped a sentiment on the white center and attached them below the butterfly with foam tape behind them. I cut down my embossed image by .25" horizontally and vertically and attached it to a blue card base. I added some of the Northern Lights sequins around the background.
I love this Chunky Thankful Greetings September '24 card kit so much. I especially love the Chunky Thankful Greetings stamp set with all its possibilities for greetings! I hope you enjoyed my cards and thank you for visiting! Suzy
