The card I made today jumps back a couple Simon releases to the Be Bold release. I used the Groovy Blooms Stencil as well as the Exquisite Hummingbird Die and You Brighten My Day die. Here is an image of the stencil:
And here is my card:
I used the Groovy Blooms stencil for the background of my card. There are 3 stencils in this set. I used several colors of Pawsitively Saturated Inks which seem to be my favorite colors as I use them the most! I combined the lighter color for the outside of the flowers and the medium color for the center of the flowers within each 3 color family. I used Marine and Cadette for the blues, Lilac and Orchid for the purples, and Carnation and Peony for the pinks. I added all the leaves with just Tropic. I used the Ranger tiny rounded foam applicators as I have an easier time applying ink softly with them and they are really small. I die-cut my stenciled piece with the largest Basic Rectangle Die and attached it to a white card base.
I made the sentiment with the You Brighten My Day die. I die-cut it twice and then applied Lilac and Orchid ink over one set. I glued those letters over the first set and then attached them to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind them. I die-cut the Delicate Hummingbird Die and colored him with Copic Markers to match the background and letters. I attached him with foam tape behind him as well. I then added some Rainbow Splash Gem Stickers on the center of the blue flowers and as the birds eye. I used some Starshine Embellishment Mix around the sentiment.
This card only took about an hour to make which I love! When I use stencils and dies, cards go so much faster because I don't have to color much! I love these cute products together and the Groovy Blooms stencil could be used in so many ways.
