I have a really fun card to share with you today that is BRIGHT again - you have been warned. In fact, the entire card vibe will make you want to put your sunglasses on and go on a vacation! I used two of the new products in the Cheering For You release: the Hello Stamp and Die Bundle and the Swirled Ridges Embossing Folder. Here are images of both:
Here is my shaker card:
I started by embossing the Swirled Ridges embossing folder with white cardstock. It is such a fun design and totally makes me think of waves at the beach. I colored it in lots of aqua and blue Copic Markers mixing the colors so there were lots of lights and darks. I always go over all of it with the lightest shades to mix all the colors together when I'm done. I then went in with a darker teal colored pencil and a white Uniball gel pen to add some shading and details. I cut this down to fit inside one of the Waffle Flowers Flat Shaker Covers. They are really easy to use as they fold over each edge and you just add double sided tape over each edge before attaching it to the backside. I filled the opening with some sequins from the two new mixes in the new release: Garden Blooms and Summer Sunset embellishment mixes. I then attached this piece to a yellow card base (hardest part of my entire card decisions as I wanted to use white, but it washed it out).
I stamped the Hello stamp with Intense Black Ink and die-cut it out with the matching die. I colored it in with Copic Markers. I then used Tonic Crystal Glaze over the glasses and the bubble letters. I let it dry and then applied two more coats until it was really thick and shiny! I then used Stickles around the coral area and Yellow Bird Nuvo Drops around the sun. I attached it to the center of the card front with foam tape behind it. I then stamped the word "sunshine" on white cardstock with black ink and die-cut it out with the matching dies. I attached that below the hello. I glued some additional sequins around the front of the card.
Bright enough for you? Does this Hello stamp and die set make you want some summer sunshine? I'm heading to St. George tomorrow where it will be about 110 degrees - not looking forward to it as it never really gets past 80 degrees where I live. I am really enjoying working through this Cheering For You release one products at a time! Keep coming back for more! Suzy
