The card I have to share with you tonight using products from the SSS Cheering For You release isn't about my favorite subject. There are no flowers, no bright colors, and no cute little critters. But when I saw this stamp set called Football Season, I had to use it for a birthday card for my soon to be 7 year old grandson, Merrick. Here is an image of the Football Season stamp and die bundle:
Here is my card:
I started by stamping ALL of the images in the stamp set with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then colored them all in with Copic Markers - yep, JUST Copic Markers. I die-cut them out with the matching dies. I didn't know which ones I was going to use, so I attached the entire stamp set to the cover of my Misti and then stamped the entire set at one time. Makes it SO much easier - just tape it in place! I colored everything, so I had all the extra numbers I'll have to use on another card. Next, I tried to figure out what to do with the images.
I had this background in my "extras" drawer of patterned papers and stamped/inked backgrounds just waiting for the right card! This one was made with the Ticking Cling Stamp using Tidepool PSInk. I die-cut it with the A2 Thin Frame Die. I attached it to a royal blue card base. I then arranged the different colored images over the background using foam stamp behind some of them. I glued the #7 to the front of the shirt for my grand-son's birthday coming up. They are currently 6 and 9 and just LOVE my cards. My 9 year old grand-daughter steals all my favorites every time she comes over and I hate it. I'll have to steal them back while she is at school sometime! I just love how ALL of my 5 grandkids from 1.5 to 9 love my craft supplies and making things with me way more than my entire room full of toys for them. Who knew?!!!
I hope you enjoyed this card using the new Cheering For You release Football Season stamp and die bundle. Have a great week friends! suzy
