It's the second day of the SSS Cheering For You release and as I warned you yesterday, I'll be posting cards almost daily with the new release products. I'm part of the two day blog hop on the second day, Saturday the 27th. Today I used several of the new dies on my card including the Cosmos Duo Dies, the Arching Leaf Border Dies, and the Delicate Hummingbird Duo Dies and the Simple Sending Love Dies. Here is an image of the Cosmos Duo Dies:
And here is my card:
I started by die-cutting all of the dies I was going to use on the card from white cardstock. I die-cut two sets of the Cosmos Duo Dies, one set of the Delicate Hummingbird Duo Dies, and two sets of the stand-alone leaf bunches in the Arching Leaf Border dies. I colored all of these with Copic Markers and used a colored pencil inside the lines on the petals and leaves. I glued all of the pieces together with my new favorite glue gun that I don't know how I ever lived without!
I made a background with the new Pinpoint Circle Die using white cardstock and attaching it to a white card base. I then die-cut a frame using the set of A2 Nested Frame Dies. I attached the two largest frames and made sure the distance between them was equal. I used the frame from the inside of these two dies. This is why I wish I hadn't cut these dies apart as you get frames in every size by leaving them intact and it's hard to line them up perfectly. I closed the frame with Copics to match the flowers. I glued that to the background. I also die-cut the new Simple Sending Love sentiment die from white cardstock twice and colored the letters from one set and glued them over the other set. I attached that to the center of the background with foam tape behind it. Then I arranged all of the flowers, leaves (cut the groupings apart), and two hummingbirds around the sentiment tucking them under it. I added some of the two new sequin mixes, Garden Blooms and Summer Sunset.
That's a lot of new products from the Cheering For You release all on one card! Don't forget to follow the blog hop on Friday and Saturday. I'll be back both days with more cards! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
