Simon Says Stamp Cheering For You Release BLOG HOP Day 2: Crimped Blossoms Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies

Today is day 2 of the two day blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Cheering For You release this week. I hope you were able to hop along starting on the SSS Blog yesterday and today to see all of the amazing inspiration using this release. I have a card to share with you using the Crimped Blossoms Embossing Folder and Cutting Die and get ready by putting your sunglasses on for this one! Here is an image of this EF:

I started by embossing the SSS Crimped Blossoms Embossing Folder and Cutting Die with white cardstock. I then die-cut the two flower dies that came with the set - I die-cut two of the small flower and one of the large. I then embossed them by attaching them inside the embossing folder and re-running it through my die-cut machine. Next, I colored the entire thing with Copic Markers! I used a fine tip black marker to outline everything before using a black Copic marker to fill in the background. I love coloring embossing folders with Copics as it is so easy! The markers typically bleed a little outward, so if you just color the raised portion of the embossed image, the markers flow down the sides and they are covered too!

I attached it to a white card base. Next, I used the new CZ You Die die-cut from white cardstock first and then I did cut the inside portion using Tim Holtz black heavy stock because it is like velvet and SO black (love this stuff). I also stamped a small sentiment using the CZ You stamp set (that coordinates with the die and can be purchased as a CZ You bundle) with black ink on a small sentiment banner. I attached the large You in the center of the card with foam tape behind it and the smaller sentiment above it. I used a bunch of Rainbow Splash Gem Stickers in the center of all of the small flowers. I also added some of the new Summer Sunset Embellishment Mix sequins around the sentiment.
