Today is the release of the SSS August, 2024 Graceful Flowers Card Kit. They have a monthly subscription you can access HERE or you can buy the card kits by month if you prefer. Here is an image of the kit:
I love this kit because it is full of flowers! The Graceful Flowers stamp set is gorgeous and can be purchased separately. There is also a set of Graceful Flowers dies that can be purchased separately. Or you can purchase the Graceful Flowers stamp and die bundle if you aren't interested in the full kit. This kit also includes the Beautiful Buttercup die and a Blossom Swag Embossing Folder that are brand new products and can also be purchased separately. I've used all of these products in my three cards, so let's get started!
This card uses primarily the Beautiful Buttercup Die - in fact, I used it 6 times with 12 flowers! I also used the beautiful patterned papers in the kit by Paper Rose called Botanical Blooms. I cut a piece to be A2 card sized and then attached it to a white card base. I die-cut the Beautiful Buttercup Die flowers set 6 times as there are two sizes of flowers in the die. I then colored all of the flower parts with Copic markers in just 3 colors of purple and one color of green. I wanted to keep it very simple. One thing I always do is use a Colorless Blender Copic 0 to lighten areas on the top of the front petals.
I glued all of the flowers together using my Misti Precision Glue Dispenser I am so in love with (super fine tip and NO squeezing needed, also never gets clogged as it has a metal piece in the cap). I used a foam square that is included in the kit in the center of each of the front petals and then glued them down on all the edges to the larger petals. I glued the stems to the bottom of each. I arranged them running diagonally across the front of the card in three rows rotating the sizes. I stamped a sentiment from the Graceful Flowers stamp set on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink and die-cut it out with the matching dies. I love that these sentiment dies leave lots of white around the super fine lined sentiments. I attached that to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it. I then added some Starshine sparkling clear confetti sequins.
This card uses the Blossom Swag embossing folder. I embossed it with white cardstock and then colored it in with Copic Markers. I used colored pencils just inside the lines on the leaves and some of the inside areas of the flowers. I love using Copics on embossing folders as they cover super easily by just coloring the top of the images and then they slightly bleed down the sides where the images are raised. The lines are easy to run a sharp colored pencil through. I cut around this image so I could use it on a different background.
I cut a piece of the patterned paper in the kit by Paper Rose to fit on the front of an A2 card front. I then sprayed it with the Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers Distress Spray. These sprays works great over patterned papers as they are transparent except in areas of big droplets and they had a beautiful sheen. I sprayed the pink patterned paper in the kit with the Picked Raspberry spray and it turned the paper into a bright pink more in line with the color I wanted it to be. I love them so much! I glued the embossing folder image to the front of this paper. I then stamped a sentiment from the Graceful Flowers stamp set on white cardstock and die-cut it out with the matching dies. I attached that to the center of the card with foam tape behind it. I added a few blue pearl stickers around the wreath design.
Of course I had to color the gorgeous floral design in the Graceful Flowers stamp set. I stamped it with Latte Ink on white cardstock. I then die-cut this piece out with the SSS Slimline Nested Rectangle Die. I then colored in the floral design with colored pencils and used a fine tip black marker over the flower centers. I attached that to a Lilac slimline card base.
I added a sentiment from the Graceful Flowers stamp set stamped with Intense Black Ink and die-cut it out with the matching dies to the top left corner. I used some Moonshine sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment and some small spots of Nuvo drops around the flowers.
I love this Graceful Flowers card kit and I especially LOVE the Graceful Flowers stamp set. I want to make more cards with it as I only used the large flowers and there is so much more in it to use! I love that the kit comes with a separate wafer die AND embossing folder AND three of the Tim Holtz Distress Spritz sprays. I feel like it is a really full kit! If you are interested in getting the card kit on a monthly basis, you can subscribe HERE. Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
