This week, I'm going to take it back a bit and use some of the Simon Says Stamp floral stamp sets from the past. I may mix in new products for backgrounds and sentiments. I took a small break from flowers and I think it is only fair to myself to go back now for a week! Otherwise I will have to enter therapy if anyone specializes in this issue. Today's card uses the Mom's Spring Flowers stamp set which is probably one of my favorites ever. The bad news is it is out of stock. The good news is I bet a lot of you already have it! Here is an image:
Here is my VERY one layer card!
This is a true one layer card. Unless you count the cardstock it is mounted on! I stamped the floral arrangement from the Mom's Spring Flowers stamp set with Latte PSInk. It is such a perfect ink for no line coloring as it works with all coloring mediums including watercolor and Copics. I then colored it in with colored pencils. I used a black Micron pen for the center of the flowers. After I was done coloring with the pencils I used some light Copics to blend the colors over the pencils. Weird, but it works really good! I cut this piece down a little so I could mount it on a pink card base.
I stamped the sentiment from the Leafy Cluster stamp set using Intense Black Ink. I used two different stamps for the sentiment. I added some Confetti sparkling clear sequins around the background. Bam. Done. Easy peasy and I think it only took me about an hour to color. And that made me happy!
I hope you are into flowers as much as I am! Come back this week to see some oldies, but goodies colored and made into cards! Today's card using Mom's Spring Flowers was so fun to make. Thanks for visiting! Suzy
