The stamp set I used for today's post came out in the SSS STAMPtember release last year. Somehow I never used it! I love making birthday cards, so this is the perfect stamp set for these. It is called Cue the Confetti and also has a set of matching Cue the Confetti dies. Here is an image of the bundle:
Here is my card:
I embossed the Party Balloons Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies with white cardstock. I cut it down slightly and attached it to a bright pink cardstock card base. I then pulled out my alcohol inks. And let me say right up front, I'm no expert with these things. You can see all of the Tim Holtz alcohol inks HERE. I used a mix of reds and pinks and some silver on Yupo Paper. I then stamped the large balloon in the Cue the Confetti stamp set with Intense Black Ink on it and die-cut it out with the matching dies.
I put foam tape behind the balloon and attached it to the top of the card. I stamped two sentiments from the stamp set and the longer balloon string with black ink. I added clear embossing powder over the sentiments so they would be shiny and raised. I die-cut the "yay" with the matching dies and then the other sentiment with a SSS Sentiment Label Die. I attached the thing below the balloon. I then added the two sentiments with foam tape behind both. I used some pink and red sentiments from the Be Mine and Candy Hearts embellishment mixes around the sentiment.
I love this Cue the Confetti stamp set so much that I will be using it for my "one stamp, five ways" guest post on the SSS Blog on the last day of May. So if you want to see more cards using it, visit their blog for that post. I hope you have a great week friends! Suzy
What a great card! I need to pull out my alcohol inks and play! Thank you for the inspiration Suzy!
