My third card in a row today uses more Celebrate and Be Bold release products. Today's card uses the Whirl Medallion Flower Die and the Whirl Dragonfly Dies. Here are images of both:
And here is my card:
For the background of my card, I used the Flower Buds Embossing Folder from the Celebrate Release, embossing it on white cardstock. I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Blending Foam to apply Butter PSInk (by the way, I just love this trio of yellows as they are less bright than the original yellows). I just rubbed the ink over the flowers in a circular fashion. I cut it down slightly and attached it to a white card base. I then cut a small strip of white cardstock for the left side to use for my die placement since the background was so busy.
I die-cut one of the large Whirl Medallion Flowers and a set of the Lush Leaves wafer dies also from the Be Bold release. I rubbed Guava PSInk over the flower and then added some Watermelon to the inside. I used Tidepool ink over the leaves making them darker on the inside and almost white on the outside. Those tiny foam applicators really help me blend more smoothly and apply less ink! I blended the Whirl Dragonfly die with Zest Ink and colored his body with a W5 Copic. I attached the flower first to the left white panel about 1/3rd of the way up with foam tape behind just the center so I could tuck the leaves under. I glued the leaves just on the stems to the top and bottom. I then added the dragonfly just glueing the center so I could bend his wings up. I used a Wink of Stella pen to add shimmer to the dragonfly wings and the flower. I used three PinkFresh aqua glitter drops on the bottom below the flower. I die-cut a sentiment from the Congratulations Sentiment Strips using a SSS Sentiment Label Die and attached that between everything else!
That's it for my three days of using dies from the Be Bold and Celebrate releases. I'm off to the Create event now with this post scheduled, so I hope I get to see some of you there! Stop by the coloring booth! Suzy
