Well, my non-floral streak is officially over. I made a card today with flowers. It had been a few days, so I felt justified. Today I used a stamp set by Gina K. Designs called Poppies and Peonies. It has the most beautiful floral bouquet, plus a few really nice sentiments with such pretty script. Here is an image (there is also a set of matching dies, but I didn't get them):
And here is my card. BTW, I didn't use a sentiment from the stamp set as I thought the one I used fit better.
I stamped the image from the Poppies and Peonies stamp set with Latte PSInk for no-line coloring. I then colored it with JUST colored pencils this time! I've been mixing Copics as a base coat under my pencils, but this time, I went back to my roots! I tried to keep the card simple because the image is just so gorgeous. I die-cu it with the second smallest die in the SSS Basic Rectangle Dies.
I attached foam tape to the back of it and attached it to a card base made with Rainbow Splash Princess cardstock. I stamped "happy birthday" using the SSS Celestial Wishes stamp set and matching dies from the Celebrate release (and in the May card kit). I used Carnation PSInk which matched perfectly. I stamped it twice so the color was a little more intense. I glued two together for more dimension and attached it to the right hand corner. I used this same sentiment on the card I posted a couple days ago! I added some clear droplets from the Rainbow Splash Drop Stickers.
I love this Gina K. Poppies and Peonies stamp set so much. She is such a great designer and is one of the kindest, most generous women I know. Just adore her! thanks for stopping by and don't forget that Celestial Wishes stamp set by SSS has the best sentiments you can use over and over! Suzy
