Hi friends! As most of you probably know, I had a line of Suzy's Watercolor Cards I sold through SSS for a few years. I think I designed over 50 sets! They are almost ALL out of stock, but one of my very favorite sets (flowers, duh) is still in stock. They actually included some of them in their LE Easter Kit this year, so I posted a few colored ones in the past month. This set was from 2020 when they still included 12 different designs. It is called Suzy's Spring Flowers and here is an image:
As a reminder, they are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper on the smooth side. It can be colored with ANY coloring medium you want! Here are some of the cards I've posted colored in the past:
I painted most of these with watercolors. I usually use Karin Brushmarkers because they give me the most intense color which I prefer! I also used Tim Holtz Watercolor Pencils on the Sister card two up. And I used Copics and colored pencils on the tulips. So I switch it up a bit!
Here is a new card today I haven't shared before. It is the dogwood blossoms and I used Karin Brushmarkers on this one.
I die-cut the card with the second largest rectangle in the SSS Basic Rectangle Dies. I then watercolors them with Karin Brushmarkers trying to do the blossoms with a very light touch which is hard for me. I touched the tip of the markers with my wet brush to apply the color. I slightly wet the background first so teh color would moved around. It looks like I flicked the actual marker over the image to get teh pink spots. I also did some of the larger ones with a watercolor brush.
I made a card with Rainbow Splash Princess Cardstock as I just LOVE that pink color! I attached the watercolor card front to it. I stamped a sentiment using the Gina K. Designs Single Peony stamp set and Intense Black Ink on the bottom right side of the card. I added some Honeybee Pearl Stickers around the flowers.
I really miss designing these Suzy's Watercolor Cards now that I see all of these images together! I was kind of burnt out after drawing so many sets over the years, but now I look back at those days and miss it! I love this Suzy's Spring Flowers set maybe the most of all the sets I designed, so I'm glad it is still in stock (for now!). They are discontinuing each set as they run out. Thanks so much for visiting today! Suzy
