I tried a new product out that I had never used before for my card today. I FINALLY caved and purchased a laminator machine so I could do toner foiling. With SSS coming out with lots of toner printed products, it was time! I wanted the Gina K. Fuse Foiling System, but it has been out of stock for a really long time, so I purchased the 9" Royal Sovereign one they also sell. The product I used for my card is from the Be Bold release and is called the Retro Arcs Foil Transfer Cards. Here is an image:
They are printed on Acetate and can be foiled with any toner foil in any color you have. I actually foiled one of them in a really pretty blue/purple type rainbow and it looks so good (will share soon). Note: It's not that easy to photograph a foiled card as they sheen on the surface causes some problems with lighting, so forgive my less than perfect image!!! Here is my card:
I foiled the Retro Arcs Foil Transfer with the new Yellow Gold Foil Sheets they also released in the Be Bold release. I just placed the transfer card into a piece of folded paper with the gold foil on top facing up and ran it through. Presto - perfect results. Well worth the money I finally spent to use these products! I attached it to a piece of white cardstock that I die-cut with the largest A2 Thin Frame Die. I then attached that to a card base made with Lawn Fawn Guava Cardstock - one of my favorite colors.
I stamped a flower using the new Wild and Free Flowers stamp set with black ink on white cardstock. I colored it in with Copic Markers and then added some shading with colored pencils. I die-cut it out with the matching dies. I love this stamp set because it has SO MANY sentiments. I also like that it has some of the greeting in script and some in just basic lettering that you can combine to say exactly what you want! I embossed the word "sending" with gold embossing powder and stamped the "healing" portion with black ink on a SSS Sentiment Label Die. I attached the flower with foam tape underneath the top portion and used foam tape under both of the sentiments as well. I added some of the new SSS Pawsitively Dazzling Gems in Cherry around the card.
This is a very different style for me using these Retro Arc Foil Transfers as they are more graphic than I typically work with. But I did get some coloring in with the Wild and Free Flowers stamp set to make it more me! Thanks for joining me today and I hope you are enjoying the Be Bold release! Suzy
