Guess what???!!! I colored another SSS embossing folder that has flowers on it. I really could do this as a job (haha). My card today uses a product released a few months ago as well as some products from the Be Bold release. Here is the SSS Plentiful Poppies Embossing Folder:
Here is my card:
I embossed the Plentiful Poppies Embossing Folder with white cardstock. I colored it in with Copic Markers. I will pass on a trick/technique I often use for backgrounds with Copics. I colored in between the flowers with green and corals in lighter shades than the flowers. I then used the Copic Blender 0 Marker over it to make it look kind of like a watercolored background. I love my blender pen over Copics! You can move color and soften color and often fix mistakes! I also used some colored pencils to add shading inside the lines. THEN, I decided to outline all of the flowers with a black fine point marker just for the fun of it!
I cut around the flowers on the top portion of the embossing folder. I hadn't planned on doing this either, so I had added color to the top that I cut off. I then embossed the new Neatly Knitted embossing folder with white cardstock. I used foam tape on the back of my flowers and attached them over the white background just for some texture. I die-cut a frame with the new A2 Nesting Frame Dies that I keep using on every card I make because i love them so much! I used Gold Matte Cardstock for the frame and added foam tape to the top portion and glued it over the flowers. I embossed a sentiment from the Wild and Free stamp set with gold embossing powder and attached that to the top right corner with foam tape under it as well. I added some Moonshine Sequins around the background and also a bow tied with Lawn Fawn Coral Twine over the frame on the top left.
I'll be back every day this week with more floral card creations pulling stamp sets from the past and mixing them with products that are current. Happy Spring to all! Suzy
