SSS Limited Edition Easter Kit Part 2: Suzy's Watercolor Cards

SSS released their Limited Edition 2024 Easter Kit a few days ago and it is still available. I posted a "one stamp, five ways" or rather a one kit five ways post that day. You can see the post HERE. Here is an image of the kit:

There are six Suzy's Watercolor Cards from the Suzy's Spring Flower Watercolor Set in the kit. Although I am no longer illustrating watercolor cards for SSS, there are still 8 sets available HERE. The set the designs in this kit came from is called Spring Watercolor Cards and has 12 different spring flower designs printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper that you can color with any coloring medium you prefer. I colored the rest of the ones in the LE Easter Kit to share with you. Here is the tulip one:

I want to start by saying I saw this watercolor card colored by Susan Opel and I thought it was so beautiful. I sent her a text to tell her how much I loved it. Later I sat down to color mine and I pulled up tulips in google to find a photo to use as inspiration for the colors. I didn't think about her card at the time and I went with these pinkish coral ones, my favorite colors. After I colored them, I realized they were the same color as her card that I loved so much! I told her and showed her the inspiration flower photo I used and she used the same exact one! How is that for a coincidence! I die-cut the card with the second largest SSS Basic Rectangle Die so I could mount it on a coral card base. I colored the flower with Copic Markers first and then added shading with colored pencils. I like the texture you can add with sharp pencils. 

After I colored it, I attached it to a deep coral card base to frame the color and make it pop. I used the Gina K. Designs Single Peony stamp set for the sentiment. I stamped it in Intense Black Ink on the top right of the card front. I added some Pink Fresh Magenta Glitter Drops and some Rainbow Splash clear drops around teh flowers. 

I love the look of this Suzy's Spring Flowers watercolor card colored with Copic Markers and Colored Pencils. The Limited Edition 2024 Easter Card Kit is still available for purchase and has 6 of my Suzy's Watercolor Cards in it! I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon! Suzy
