I'm taking it back to a stamp set from STAMPtember 2023 by Simon Says Stamp today! I just love the illustrator of this stamp set called Happy Days. It is sold as just a stamp set and there is a set of matching dies or you can buy it as a bundle as shown here. Here is my card using the stamp and die:
I started by stamping two of the images in the Happy Days stamp set with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I then colored them in with colored pencils. They are small, so I found pencils to be the easiest method to color them. I die-cut them out with the matching Happy Days dies, but I would have been happy to fussy cut them as they are pretty basic shapes.
I die-cut a frame by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 5.5x4.25" and then die-cutting the Modern Postage Stamp Die out of the center of it. I then used a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper and Distress Inks for the background. I wanted the colors to be vivid, so I used Distress instead of Distress Oxide. I combined Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn, and Mustard Seed. I moved the colors around to mix them and then added more color in spots with a dry brush. I flicked some more ink over it and also flicked water for some splotches. I attached the white frame over the background.
I attached the two die-cut images using foam tape behind the top of each image. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with Intense Black Ink on the top of the card. I added some Vintage Nuvo Drops in white and black around the background.
And that's it! This is a nice simple card that will hopefully brighten someone's day. There are a lot of different greetings in this Happy Days stamp set to use for birthday, thank you, and many other card subjects. Thanks for visiting today! suzy
