I'm busy over here making more cards with the new SSS Be Bold release as there are just so many fun products to play with! Today I have a card to share using the Poppy Bundle Embossing Folder and Cutting Die as we all know I love coloring flowers! I also used the new A2 Nesting Frame Dies, the Airy Greetings stamp and die set, and the new Terracotta Embellishment Mix . Here is an image of the embossing folder:
Here is my card:
I embossed the Poppy Bundle Embossing Folder and Cutting dies TWICE with white cardstock. I then die-cut the four flowers and taped them inside the embossing folder and embossed them. I colored in all of the images on one of the embossed pieces with Copic Markers. I used lighter markers for the green background. I then colored the four dies and the flowers that didn't have a die from the second embossed background so I had a double of every flowers. I used colored pencils inside the lines and to shade. I attached the four die-cut flowers over the original colored flowers by offsetting them so they were below the original. I used foam tape behind the top of the flowers and glued down the bottom. I cut out the others that didn't have dies from the second background piece and did the same with them. They are easy to cut around with the raised edges. For two of the flowers, I only added pieces to the areas that were in the foreground. I basically created dimension on all of the flowers.
I die-cut a frame with the new A2 Nesting Frame Dies. I mentioned this before, but I will mention it again here. Do Not Cut Apart these dies! I made the mistake of cutting the two largest ones off the others. I used the largest one for this card. I realized when I die-cut the others that they create frames between the frames that are the exact same size as the dies are, so you get twice as many frames. This allows you to lay them all down in different colors and they fit together for a perfect colorful background. Now I'm trying to use the two largest this way by taping them together, but it's hard to get them perfectly spaced. I colored the frame with the new Clay and Terracotta inks. I used the new Airy Greetings stamp and die set for the greeting. I stamped the flat part with Clay PSInk to match the frame. I stamped the sentiment with black ink. I attached it to the bottom of the card. I love how this set gives you banners to use with any of your sentiments. I also love that you can use the sentiments with or without the flat stamped portion. I added some of the new Terracotta embellishment mix around the flowers.
That's it for today folks! I hope you enjoyed this coral card using the new Trio 28 inks and the Poppy Bundle Embossing Folder and Cutting Die from the Be Bold release. Thanks for visiting! Suzy
