Today is the Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2023 Release! We will be having a two day blog hop on December 2nd and December 8th to share lots of inspiration using the release. I'm part of day 2, so in the mean time, I'll be sharing a few tags and cards using some of the products in the release. I'm very excited that they have come out with some new Pawsitively Saturated Ink colors! Today I have a card to share using two of the new products: the Ornament Tag Dies and the Rhythmic Waves Embossing Folder. Here are images of these two products:
Here is my card. If you look closely at the graphic at the top of this post, you will see it there!
I love making holiday tags and I've made so many this year. I've made 7 already with the DieCember release that I will be sharing soon. But for this card, I ended up using the Ornament Tag Dies on a card! Shame on me! I die-cut all three of the designs from white cardstock. I die-cut just the tops of each ornament and the decorations on the ornaments from silver glitter paper. I also die-cut the twirly lines from glitter paper also. I thought they were suppose to hold the ornaments like string. I realized after seeing other people's creations with this set that the twirly line is suppose to be used to decorate the ornaments. Oops.
I embossed the Rhythmic Waves embossing folder using white cardstock. I then rubbed a silver inked over it so it just got ink on the lines that are on the top. I love the pattern of this embossing folder. I attached that to a white card base. I then colored the ornaments I had die-cut from white cardstock with Copic Markers. I glued the tops and the decorations to each one.
I glued the three ornaments to the front of the card and then I used the twirly lines to hold the ornaments up. I embossed a sentiment from the Graceful Holiday Greetings stamp set with Tim Holtz Salvaged Patina Embossing Glaze and die-cut it out with the matching dies. This sentiment set was in the last All the Joy release and I love it and have used it on almost all of my holiday cards! When I embossed it, I taped the entire stamp set to the top of my Misti on the plastic it comes on. I then embossed the entire set with this embossing glaze and again with silver embossing powder. I then had a set of all of the sentiments in two colors which is why I have used them so much! I love doing it this way as it is so much quicker! I attached the sentiment to the bottom of the card. I then added some Honeybee Back to Basics silver gem stickers around the background of the card.
