As I stated yesterday, I am going to be posting lots of floral holiday colors in the typical holiday colors this week! One of the stamp sets that Emily Midgett illustrated for the SSS All the Joy release is called the Joyful Anemone Background stamp. Here is an image of it:
Here is my card:
I started by stamping the Joyful Anemone Background stamp with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink on white cardstock. I colored it in with Copic Markers and colored pencils. I also used a few of my lightest colors of Copics in the background. I start the flowers using a Copics keeping the inside of them quite light. I then go in with pencils to add sharper lines, outlines, shading, texture, and white on the inside areas. I find mixing these two coloring methods to be my favorite way to color now. I used a black Micron marker on the inside of the anemone.
I die-cut this with a SSS Basic Rectangle Die. I attached it to a red cardstock card base. I hate it when I color the full 6x6 cling stamps and then cut a bunch off - why do I do that?!!!!
I embossed a sentiment from the Festive Bouquets stamp set with Red Geranium embossing powder. I die-cut it out with the matching die. I love sentiment dies so much instead of always having to use sentiment banners! I added some SSS Moonshine Sequins around the sentiment.
This card is a one layer super simple card, but is all about the coloring. I love to color so stamp sets like this Joyful Anemone Background stamp are so my thing! I'll be back with another holiday card tomorrow using one of the other stamp sets illustrated by Emily Midgett from the All the Joy release! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
