I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you that has been in the works for weeks! I'm using a stamp set from the Season of Wonder release called Deck the Halls. I made a card with it for the release, so it has been on their website for some time. I wanted to make four more though before I shared it, and that took a while! Today I finished four more cards yay! Here is an image of the Deck the Halls stamp and die bundle WHICH IS ON SALE! It is usually $64.98 and is only $39.99 right now!!!
Here are my five cards:
This was my most time consuming card. I created a shaker card using the Sprinkle Snowglobe Embossing Folder. This one was released I think last year. I also used the Domed Arches Dies for the frame. I embossed the snow globe and colored the bottom of it to look like wood. I colored the background a very light teal blue and used a white Uniball over the snow. I then cut the bottom wood piece off it it. I die-cut two of the Nested Domed Arches Dies to create a frame out of white cardstock. I attached a piece of acetate behind the frame. I also put some foam tape behind it. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder over the wood piece I had cut off the snow globe.
I stamped the two children from the Deck the Halls stamp set with Intense Black Ink and colored it in with Copic Markers. I die-cut it out with the matching dies. I stamped a few of the 3 sizes of stars and colored them with a silver Uniball gel pen. I glued all of these over the inside of the snow globe. I poured a bunch of Unicorn Confetti Glitter over the inside of the globe. I then attached the frame made out of the Domed Arches with the wood piece glued to the bottom. I added a bow to the top with Lawn Fawn Peppermint cording. I cut the entire thing out as it was on white cardstock and I glued it to a piece of red cardstock that I die-cut with the A2 Thin Frame Die. I attached that to a white card base.
For the background of this card, I used the Wooden Planks Embossing Folder that was also part of the Season of Wonder release. I embossed it on white cardstock and then rubbed some Flannel Pawsitively Saturated Ink over it lightly. I die-cut it with the A2 Thin Frame Die and attached it to a red card base.
I stamped all of the images from the Deck the Halls stamp set with Intense Black Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. I die-cut them out with the matching dies. I used a silver Uniball over the edges of the Christmas tree skirt and on the stars. I used Nuvo Glitter Drops over the ornaments. I embossed the sentiment with red embossing powder and die-cut them out. The small flat stamps work perfectly on the second smallest SSS Sentiment Label Die.
The background for this card came from my stack of backgrounds I made with my Tim Holtz Mica Mists. I used Yuletide on this one. I then splattered some gold on it used the Zig Gansai Tambi Starry Colors of paint. I love how they go on so opaque and use these all the time - great buy! I also splattered some white gouache on it. I die-cut one of the Pretty Pink Posh Eyelet Rectangle Dies from white cardstock and attached that to the top with foam tape behind it.
I stamped the images from the Deck the Halls stamp set with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink and colored them with Copic Markers and Colored Pencils. I used Crafter's Companion Glitter Pens to decorate all of the presents. I attached them to the top of the white piece. I cut the packages apart so I could use some on each side of the little girl. I embossed a sentiment from the Holiday Blossoms stamp set with Red Geranium embossing powder and die cut it out with the matching dies.
I made the background of this card with the Rainbow Splash Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I then die-cut the CZ Wood Plank Die (same release!) out of white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I attached that to the bottom of the embossed cardstock. I stamped all of the images from the stamp set with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I colored them in with Copic Markers. I die-cut them out with the matching dies.
I stamped the large and small sentiments with Crimson Ink from the Rainbow Splash release and die-cut them out with the matching dies. I used a silver glitter pen for the details. I attached them all over the background with foam tape behind them. I added ornaments to the tree. I used foam tape behind the sentiment as well.
I die-cut a piece of light blue patterned paper with an A2 Thin Frame Die. I used another one of the CZ Wood Plank Die. This time I left it white and added it to the bottom of the card front. I stamped all of the images with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink again. I colored them in with Copic Markers.
I attached them all to the front of the card. I embossed the large sentiment with Hot Pink embossing powder and stamped the small sentiments with Watermelon Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I stamped them on a Sentiment Label Banner again as they fit perfectly. And then I just attached everything to the front of the card!
I feel like many of my cards are similar to each other, but I like them all! This Deck the Halls stamp set was really fun to work with because as you know I love to color! I think the images would look really good on tags as well and I have a few leftover colored images, so tags will come next!!! In two days, SSS will have a new release - Diecember is almost here! So I'll be back with lots of inspiration soon! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
