SSS Season Of Wonder Blog Hop Day 1: Forest Border Frame and Winter Village Dies

Today is the first day of a two day blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Season of Wonder release. The blog hop starts today, Friday October 6th and is also on Saturday, October 7th. I have a card to share with you first and all of the brog hop details will be at the end of this post. I used several of the new products for this card including these two beauties, the Forest Border Frame and the CZ Winter Village Dies:

                           

Here is my card which you can see in the graphic at the top of this post!

I die-cut the Forest Border Frame with the smaller branch dies that go with it out of white cardstock and silver matte cardstock. I colored the white with green Copic Markers. I cut the leaves off the silver one leaving just the frame. I colored the inside of the frame which was just a white rectangle, with Copic colors for a night sky look.

I die-cut the Winter Village Dies from white cardstock. I colored the 3 houses with gray Copics and the inside windows yellow. I used three sets so one was the base with yellow windows and then the top one had two layers so it looked more dimensional. I die-cut a piece of silver matte cardstock with the AS Thin Frame Die. Now the glueing started!

I glued the green colored frame down first. I added some additional green branches and some silver branches both from the extra ones cut and from the ones I cut off the silver frame. I glued the blue rectangle with the silver frame around it over all of the branches with foam tape behind them as one piece. I then glued the 3 houses over the blue sky background. I embossed a sentiment from the Fresh Air Holiday Tree stamp set and silver embossing powder. I die-cut it out with the matching die and attached it to the bottom of the frame. I drew some white spots on the sky and houses with a white uniball and covered them with Crystal Stickles to look like snow. The white below the glittery drops makes them stand out more. I used Glossy Accents over a lot of the branches and Unicorn Confetti glitter over it for snow as well.
