Today's SSS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Pink and Main and is called Love You Snow Much. It is sold alone or as a bundle with a set of matching dies. Here is an image of the bundle:
Marshmallow men and penguins - you gotta love this one. And since I love creating scenes, I have a slimline card to share with you.
I started by die cutting a rectangle with the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies from white cardstock. I then stamped ALL of the images in the Love You Snow Much stamp set right on this piece so it is a one layer card - completely one layer! I didn't have the dies, so one layer worked well for me. If you have the dies though, you might want to make it multiple layers. I used Intense Black Ink. For the ground I stamped several of the hills around the images after they were stamped. I just used a piece of scrap paper to block areas I didn't want to stamp over because I'm too lazy to create masks!
Once all of the images were stamped, I got to do my favorite part which is color them! I used Copic Markers for all of my coloring except for adding some details with my glitter pens and a white gel pen. I colored the sky with blue Copics and then used a 0 Colorless Blender to lighten it in areas which created the coolest mottling. That blender marker is always so useful for me! I also use it whenever I add gray shadows. I'll use like an N2 to add the shadow and then use the blender to mottle the edge of the shadow so it looks more natural.
I stamped several of the snowflakes in the kit on the sky and also stamped one of the sentiments on the sky all with black ink. I then went over the snowflakes with a silver glitter pen. I added Chalk Stick Vintage Nuvo Drops around the sky. I used Ranger Crystal Stickles along the edges of all the hills and in the center of all of the snowflakes. I also added some dots of it over the ground to look like snowflakes and in the center of all of my white drops on the sky so they were more sparkly.
I love creating scenes with cute stamp sets like this one called Love You Snow Much. If you don't want to spend the extra money to buy the bundle with matching dies, you can make a one layer card like I did with just the stamp set.
