Today there are 3 SSS STAMPtember collaborations with MFT, Pretty Pink Posh, and Hero Arts! I have a blog post up for all three, so you can see the PPP one HERE and the Hero Arts one HERE. This post is for the My Favorite Things stamp set called Sweet Safari. It is also sold as a bundle with a set of dies as shown here:
I absolutely LOVE this stamp set as I love critters and especially safari/zoo/wild type critters. I think this set is so cute. And of course I went with a slimline so I could create a scene!
Idie-cut a rectangle using the SSS Nested Slimline Rectangle Dies and white cardstock. I applied Pawsitively Perfect Ink with a Ranger Foam Blending Tool to it, not going all the way to the edge. I used a mixture of Field and Fairway from Trio 8 for the ground and a combo of Latte and Cappuccino from Trio 10 for the sky. I don't know why I went with a tan sky, but I wanted it to match the theme and not be bright. Do jungles have brown skies? haha
I stamped all of the images in the Sweet Safari stamp set with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I stamped multiples of the leaves and the palm tree. I colored them all with Copic markers. I used a green colored pencil to shade the trees, but otherwise I retired my pencils haha! I fussy cut all of the images out, but it would have been nice to have the bundle and have the matching dies!
I attached all of the images to the card front with foam tape behind the animals and some of the leaves so they appear to be in the foreground. I left a space for the sentiment - I actually used two sentiments - in the center of the card. I stamped it with the darkest ink in Trio 10 that I used on the sky - Mocha. I applied some Pioneer Green Vintage Nuvo drops around the scene.
I love this card! I love this stamp set! MFT always has stamps I love, so I'm not surprised this is one of my favorites of all of the collabs this month. You can buy just the Sweet Safari stamp set or the bundle with the Sweet Safari stamp and die. You can see all of the STAMPtember collaboration stamp sets that are left (including the 3 released today) HERE. Don't forget to check out my other two blog posts - link at the top! Suzy
