Today's Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Mama Elephant called "Capy Holidays". They are one of my all time favorite stamp companies and this set is no exception to my love of all that they create! Here is an image of the stamp and die bundle:
And here is my slimline card:
I started with a slimline rectangle die cut with the SSS Nested Slimline rectangle dies from white cardstock. I then inked it with Pawsitively Saturated Inks using Trio 10. I applied Latte to the top and Cappuccino to the bottom not taking the color all the way to the edges. I couldn't figure out what colors to use for the background for this card and I'm still not sure I like what I used, but I wanted it to be subtle. I attached it to a red cardstock slimline card base.
I stamped all of the images in the Capy Holidays stamp set with black ink. I did multiples of the accessories. I colored them all in with Copic markers and used a white Uniball gel pen for details. I then fussy cut them all out since I didn't have the matching dies. I weirdly don't mind fussy cutting - I actually enjoy it, so it does save me money on dies. I arranged all of the images over the front of the card creating a little Cappy holiday scene! I used foam tape behind some images so they appear to be in the foreground.
I embossed a sentiment on the top right side of the card using Red Geranium embossing powder. I added some white little dots all over the background. Not sure why or what they add! I applied Glossy Accents over all of the white areas on the ornaments and hats.
I can't seem to stop making slimline cards with all these cute collaboration stamp sets. I love ones like Capy Holidays that have cute critters in them. I hope you are enjoying/inspired by slimline's as a different way to showcase these stamp sets.
