Today there are 3 STAMPtember collaboration stamp sets with Riley and Co, Avery Elle, and The Greeting Farm. This post is about the Avery Elle release of their stamp set called "Bright Time". There are links to the other posts here and at the bottom of this post. Here is an image of the "Bright Time" stamp and die bundle:
I don't have any of the dies, so I went with a one layer card except for the sentiment. Here is my card. I'm going to be honest. This card took me a long time to make! I'll explain as I go.
I wanted to use the ornament to create the background in a "random stamping" kind of way. I also ended up using the snowflake and the holly and berries stamps. I first stamped the sentiment so I could position where I wanted it on the background and arrange the other elements around it. I stamped the letters with silver embossing powder. I stamped the ornament with Crimson Rainbow Splash Ink. I then went over the "it" letters with a silver Uniball so they stood out better. I felt like the letters didn't stand out enough on white cardstock so I added shadows to them with a red colored pencil. I then cut around it and positioned it where I wanted on the white card front.
I started stamping the ornament with Rainbow Splash Inks in both Crimson and and Scarlet so some were darker than others. I stamped the leaves with Rainbow Splash Grass Ink. I then embossed the top of the ornament and the snowflake with silver embossing powder. This is what took so long. I worked on one set of ornaments/snowflakes at a time, so I was embossing them all separately. I die-cut this piece with an A2 Thin Frame die and attached it to a piece of Rainbow Splash Crimson cardstock. I used Rainbow Splash all over this card!
I attached the sentiment with foam tape beneath it. I then used Rainbow Splash red small Gem Stickers over all the berries. I see here I forgot one on the bottom or maybe it fell off! I used Metallic Silver Nuvo Drops to fill in all the open spots on the background. I used Ruby Slippers glitter drops over all the red ornaments. I used the silver Uniball to fix any issues I had with the top of the ornaments. It covered over the embossing powder perfectly. Seems straight forward and easy, but took me quite a while to do all the embossing! I'm sure I could have done more of them at one time, but i was afraid of it drying and the powder not sticking.
This "Bright Time" stamp set is full of wonderful holiday sentiments in such a pretty script font. And the little extras I used for my card background go perfectly with the sentiments.
