Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Collaboration: Dare 2B Artzy "Slice of Cake"

Today we are back to one SSS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set. It is with Dare 2B Artzy and is called the "Slice of Cake" stamp set or the "Slice of Cake" stamp and die bundle as shown here:

I love that the dies for this set include all of the sentiments. The fonts are lovely and I would have loved to have the dies for them. Here is my card (made with no dies!):

You know I love to fit as many images as possible on my cards, which is why I often do slimline. But today I stuck to a regular A2 sized card! First for the background, I embossed a piece of white cardstock with my favorite Rainbow Splash embossing folder called Swiss Dots. I then die-cut it with an A2 Thin Frame die (which I should have done first as it flattened my dots a little) and attached it to a pink cardstock card base. I die-cut two different banners for sentiments out of the same pink cardstock and also white cardstock so I could layer them. I used the SSS Word Mix 2 dies for the banner at the top and I used the Honeybee Sentiment Banners for the one on the bottom.

I stamped three of the cake slices and two of the banners with black ink on white cardstock. I then colored them in with Copic Markers. Goodbye pencils - I have retired you haha. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops to the banners and the top of the candles (colors in supply list). I attached the three pieces of cake on the center of the front of the card with foam tape behind the one in the front. I stamped sentiments on both white banners with Blush PSInk and attached the white on top of the pink so they looked like they were shadowed. I attached one of the bottom and the other to the top center. I used foam tape under the center of the banners and attached them over the top of the card overlapping the banner. I then added some Party Pink Nuvo Drops around the background. 

This stamp set is simple in its design elements, but has so many great sentiments and with the dies - perfection! I would have loved to have them for my sentiments on this card.
