I finally had a chance to work with one of the new dies from the SSS Out of This World release called the Layered Perky Flower wafer die. I also used the So Sorry Stamp set. Here is an image of the die:
Here is my card:
I die-cut a piece of orchid glitter paper I had in my stash with the SSS A2 Thin Frame Die and attached it to a white card base. I then die-cut a white postage stamp with the largest die in the Modern Postage Dies and Stencil and attached that to the center of the background.
I die-cut two of the Layered Perky Flower die. I colored one of them with Copic Markers and added some shading with colored pencils. I then glued teh colored one to the white one for more dimension. I blued them to the center of the background.
I stamped a sentiment from the So Sorry stamp set with black ink and then die-cut it out with the matching dies. I attached that to the center of the bottom of the flower stem with foam tape behind it. I added a bunch of dots with Pink Orchid Metallic Nuvo Drops around the background.
Another basic and simple card today. I'll be back on the 14th with a "one stamp, five ways" post using the August card kit! Suzy
