I finally pulled out the Billowing Butterfly Plate Wafer Die from the SSS Out of This World release. I have used butterflies from the Fantasy Butterflies Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies on almost all of my cards lately, so it was time to break out and try the other butterfly products. I also used the Rose-Winged Butterfly from the Beautiful Days release. Here are images of both products:
Here is my card:
I die-cut the Billowing Butterfly Plate wafer die from white cardstock and punched all of the butterflies out of it. I had a piece of alcohol ink paper I had made some time ago that I thought looked good behind it, so I started there by attaching it over it. I made this with SSS White Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper and alcohol inks in Turquoise, Sunshine Yellow, and Sublime. I love it when something from my stash that I've made is finally useful!
Next, sticking with the butterfly theme, I die-cut two of the Rose Winged Butterfly die (from the Beautiful Days release) from white cardstock. I colored the inside of it with Copic Markers that matched the alcohol ink background. I glued a second white outline to it to cover all of my mistakes! I then used Nuvo Glitter Drops over it in several different colors. I glued this to the bottom center of the card with glue on only the inside of it so the wings can bend upward.
I stamped two sentiments using the Etched Greetings stamp set from a previous card kit with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I die-cut them out with the matching dies. I attached one above the butterfly with foam tape behind it and the small one below the butterfly. I added some of the Green Meadows sequins on both sides of the Thank You.
I think this might be the end of my butterfly craze as it is time to move on to something else! Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a great week!!! Suzy
