I recently purchased the Tim Holtz Floral Trims stamp set at Simon Says Stamp. I used one of the two borders in the stamp set on this blog post here. Today I am using the second of the floral trims on a new card. Here is an image of the stamp set:

And here is my new card:
As I already said, I used the second row of flowers in the Floral Trims stamp set for this card. The first time, I stamped it twice to make it go across the entire slimline card. This time I stamped it just once on an A2 size piece of white cardstock going vertical. I used intense black ink. I die-cut this piece with an A2 Thin Frame Die for a small border.
I colored the image with Copic markers leaving the edges very light. I then went in with colored pencils to add shading and some darker areas. I really like using Copics and pencils together lately. I re-outlined the flowers and leaves with a black fine tip pen so the lines were darker as when you use pencils, they get lighter. I also wanted the flower centers to be really dark. I attached this colored piece to a card base made with Wildberry Cardstock.
I die-cut the Miss You die from the SSS Greetings Trio die set from white cardstock. I colored the letters with Copics to match the flowers. I then attached it to the top right side of the card with foam tape under it. I added a sentiment strip from the Reverse Sisters Greetings sentiments die-cut with the SSS Sentiment Label dies. I added some black gems from the Honeybee Back To Basic Gem Stickers and some 3mm sparkling clear sequins.
I really love this Tim Holtz Floral Trims stamp set - I wish he would do florals more often! Thanks for visiting today and have a great weekend! suzy
