I made a second card today with the SSS Mother's Day Bouquet stamp set from the Just For You release. I guess I love this stamp set! It is a small set sold with a set of matching dies - here is an image of the bundle:
Here is the first card I made with it and a link to the blog post is here.
And here is my new card which has a totally different feel showing the versatility of the set:
I stamped the image with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock. I colored it in with colored pencils. I used a silver Uniball gel pen over the tie. I then die-cut it out with the matching die. I kept it in colors that would look like succulents for a totally different look.
To make the background, I die-cut an A2 sized rectangle from a piece of SSS Matte Silver Cardstock using the SSS Basic Rectangle Die. I then die-cut an oval out of the center using the SSS Stitched Oval Dies. I also die-cut an oval out of a pale pink cardstock. I attached the pink oval inside the silver frame on a white card base. I then attached the floral grouping to the center of the oval using foam tape behind the top portion of it.
I felt like this bouquet had a wedding look to it, so I embossed a sentiment from the CZ You Did stamp set with silver embossing powder. I die-cut it out with the matching dies and attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it. I added some silver jewels from the Honey Bee Just the Basics Gem set.
I think the Mother's Day Bouquet stamp set and the CZ You Did stamp set go very well together. What do you think? Thanks for visiting! I've blogged every day this week - so proud of myself! xoxo suzy
