Yesterday was the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Days release and I shared a post HERE with a card using the Mother's Day Dogwood Stamp and Die Bundle and the Chunky Knit Stencil. Today I have a card to share with you using the Yarn Love stamp set. Here is an image of the bundle:
I'm not a knitter, but I do love this set as it has so many possibilities. I think I want to do a "one stamp, five ways" post using it. Make sure to check out all the other cards designers made with it on the product page on the SSS website. You can also visit the Beautiful Days gallery. And tomorrow and the next day (Friday and Saturday), there will be a two day blog hop with TONS of inspiration. Here is my card - see if you can find it in the new release banner at the top of this post!
There were so many cute yarn bundles in the Yarn Love stamp set that of course I had to try out my "random stamping" technique with this set. It is always my go to because I love to color and I love puzzles and I feel like I am putting one together when I arrange the images. I started with a rectangle cut from the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies and white cardstock. I then stamped the four yarn bundles randomly over the cardstock with Intense Black Ink.
I colored the images in with Copic Markers this time. I used grays to shade the labels on each yarn bundle. I added colors to the yarn that had labels with a Micron marker. I used a silver Uniball over the knitting needles.
I attached this piece to a teal cardstock card base. I then stamped the sentiment from the stamp set with Intense Black Ink and cut it out with the matching dies. I love that this die set has dies for every sentiment in the set! I die-cut a second one (not stamped obviously) from the same teal cardstock and then layered them over foam tape on the front of the card. I added some Vintage Nuvo Drops in Bohemian Teal.
I hope you enjoyed this card using the Yarn Love stamp set. The Beautiful Days release is full of so many fun products! Come back on Saturday for day two of the blog hop and I will have a "one stamp, five ways" post using the new Garden Fresh stamp set. xoxo suzy

I have a friend who's an avid knitter so I pounced on this set as soon as it was available. Love your use of the individual motifs, Suzy.
