Today is the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Days Release. You can see all kinds of creations using this release in the photo above. There are so many beautiful products in this release, thus the name! I have several cards to share with you over the next few days. On day 2 of the blog hop (Saturday), I'll have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share using the Garden Fresh stamp set. Today I have a card to share using the Mother's Day Dogwood stamp set and the Chunky Knit stencil. Here are images of these two products:
And here is my card:
First, I stamped the heart floral image from the Mother's Day Dogwood stamp set with Latte Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I then colored it in with colored pencils and die-cut it out with the matching die. It is such a beautiful image and I love how the die cuts out the inside as well.
Then I created a background using the new Chunky Knit Stencil. I die-cut a rectangle with the SSS Basic Rectangle Dies from white cardstock. I then inked over the stencil with three colors moving from Tidepool, to Seafoam, to Marine as I moved down. Then I rubbed a layer of Picket Fence Studios Sparkle Paper Glitz over it. I just bought this after seeing another designer use it and it is crafter's crack!!! It softened the ink colors and made it hard to tell they weren't all one color (so much for my precise ink blending haha). But the glimmer is outrageous! I attached this to a piece of Bubblegum Blush cardstock by Heffy Doodle (adore this color!).
I attached the wreath to the center of my busy background using foam tape behind it. I then die-cut a sentiment from the new Sister Sentiment Strips using the SSS Sentiment Label dies. I attached that over the bottom of the heart. Last, I added some pearls to the center of the two large flowers using Little Things From Lucy's Crystal Collection - my first purchase from her and I love these so much! This card is busy, but in real life, it looks so pretty and shimmery!
There are so many wonderful products in this new Beautiful Days Release. I'll be back tomorrow with a card using the Yarn Love stamp set and then my 5 card post using the Garden Fresh stamp set on Saturday. I adore the Mother's Day Dogwood stamp set I used for this card as florals are so my thing! Thanks for visiting today! Suzy
